Comments from the American Emu Association (AEA):

It is our understanding from consumer inquiries that this company is displaying the trademarked “AEA Certified Fully Refined” seal on the label of their Royal Perfection brand of emu oil. The company also has images on their website showing the trademarked “AEA Certified Fully Refined” seal on their labels. Furthermore, they are displaying the AEA’s trademarked logo “EMU OIL – Life Just Got Better” in their advertising.

EPMI does not have permission from the AEA to use any of these registered trademarks. They are not a member of the AEA and they have not been approved to participate in the AEA Certified Emu Oil Program.

EPMI has been notified by the AEA of these violations and warned that an alert would be posted if the infringements were not corrected. Update 01/14/2014 – EPMI has contacted the AEA and indicated that their website is currently being revised and that the trademarked materials have been removed from their labels and marketing material. The AEA has asked for validation and were told it would be provided. Once the AEA has been able to validate these claims this alert will be removed. Update 06/12/2014 – In May of 2014 the AEA contacted EPMI with another request to validate that the trademarked materials have been removed from their labels, website, and marketing materials. As of 06/17/2020 there has been no response.
